DRDO recruitment 2025 is currently underway at the Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS) Bengaluru. The DRDO centre is involved in indigenous airborne early warning and control programme through the airborne surveillance platform (ASP), technology demonstration project. There are 25 posts available for engineers at present, and candidates will be selected for the posts based on their performance in the walk in interviews. Those selected will receive a monthly salary of Rs 37,000.
Who Can Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2025?
The official notification issued on the DRDO website states that selected candidates will initially be engaged for a period of two years, which may be extended for a further two-year period (one year at a time), subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by the Review Committee.
Those who wish to apply for the posts need to have a BE or BTech in the following disciplines with a first division and a valid GATE score or an ME or MTech with a first division at both the graduate and postgraduate levels:
- Aeronautical engineering.
- Computer science and engineering.
- Electronics and communication engineering.
- Electrical engineering.
- Mechanical engineering.
Candidates need to note that only GATE scores of 2023 and 2024 will be accepted, and applicants must be below 28 years of age.

The application form can be downloaded from the official DRDO website. Eligible candidates interested in attending the walk-in interview will have to confirm their interest by sending an email to jrf.rectt.cabs@gov.in before 24 January 2025. The walk-in interviews for the posts will be conducted from 28 to 30 January at the Centre for Airborne System(CABS) in Bengaluru. Applications will be accepted between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the specified date. Candidates arriving after this time will not be permitted to participate in the walk-in interview process, adds the notification.
