In a landmark moment for India’s artificial intelligence ecosystem, Gnani.ai officially launched its Inya Voice-to-Voice (V2V) Large Language Model (LLM) at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The launch marks a major milestone in India’s journey toward building sovereign, multilingual, and emotionally intelligent AI systems, says the company.
Calling the moment deeply special, Ganesh Gopalan, CEO and Co-founder of Gnani.ai, said, “It was an amazing experience to launch the foundational Inya V2V Model in the presence of the Prime Minister and demonstrate real-world use cases like real-time translation.”
The Inya V2V model is designed to transform human-machine interactions by enabling seamless, natural, and emotionally rich voice-to-voice conversations, he said. Unlike traditional text-based AI systems, gnani.ai’s solution operates entirely through voice, bringing speed, contextual understanding, and emotional intelligence together in real time.
Gopalan highlighted the uniqueness of the technology and the interaction with the Prime Minister, stating, “It was great to engage and answer questions from the Prime Minister on how Gnani.ai’s Inya V2V Model is uniquely developed by our product teams.”
One of the standout features of the Inya V2V model is its ability to bring emotional representation, ultra-low latency, and high accuracy at scale, which are three elements critical for enterprise-grade conversational AI systems. According to gnani.ai, this makes Inya one of the most advanced voice-first AI platforms globally.
“Showcased how our voice-to-voice LLM will transform human-machine interactions. gnani.ai is one of the few companies globally developing voice-to-voice LLMs and the first one in India,” Gopalan said. The model’s multilingual capabilities were also on full display during the summit. A visiting Spanish delegation at gnani.ai’s pavilion witnessed real-time translation of Hindi conversations into Spanish, a demonstration that drew widespread attention. “Our V2V LLM model is a game changer not just for Indian languages but for international ones too. Today, we had a Spanish delegation visiting our pavilion, and they were really impressed at how our models can translate Hindi conversations to Spanish in real time,” Gopalan noted.
Beyond technological innovation, gnani.ai emphasized the broader societal impact of the platform. By breaking language barriers, the company believes Inya can bring people across regions, cultures, and nations closer together. “This product can really bring people who speak different languages in a country or across the world closer to each other,” Gopalan said.
