Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S26 series in India, introducing the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra as its third-generation AI-powered smartphones. The lineup focuses on performance upgrades, advanced AI-driven features, enhanced camera capabilities, and faster charging, targeting both everyday users and power consumers.

Galaxy S26 Ultra is being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, a processor that has been designed to deliver notable improvements in CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. According to Samsung, the chipset brings up to 19% faster CPU performance, 39% improvement in NPU capabilities, and a 24% GPU boost, enabling smoother multitasking, faster AI operations, and enhanced gaming performance.

To manage sustained performance, Samsung has introduced a redesigned vapour chamber cooling system that improves heat dissipation, ensuring stable performance during gaming, video recording, and heavy multitasking. The device also supports Super Fast Charging 3.0, allowing the phone to reach up to 75% charge in 30 minutes.
Camera and AI Upgrades
The Galaxy S26 series continues Samsung’s focus on computational photography and AI-assisted creativity. The Galaxy S26 Ultra features wider camera apertures for improved low-light photography, enhanced Nightography Video, upgraded Super Steady stabilisation, and support for APV professional-grade video codec, offering visually lossless video quality for creators.
The AI Image Signal Processor (ISP) has also been upgraded to deliver better skin tones and sharper selfies in mixed lighting conditions. AI-based editing tools, including Photo Assist and Creative Studio, allow users to make complex edits using simple text prompts, remove unwanted elements, change backgrounds, and create custom visual content without professional editing skills. The series includes AI-powered tools such as Document Scan, which automatically removes distortions and distractions from scanned documents, enabling quick conversion of multiple images into a single PDF for professional use.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,39,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs Rs 1,59,999. The top-end 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,89,999. The Galaxy S26+ is priced at Rs 1,19,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB model is available at Rs 1,39,999.
The standard Galaxy S26 is priced at Rs 87,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs Rs 1,07,999. The Galaxy S26 series is available in multiple colour options, including Cobalt Violet, Black, Sky Blue, and White, depending on the model.
