Nutanix has announced the appointment of Senthil Kumar Sankaran as Senior Director – Sales, responsible for leading and expanding the company’s India Commercial and SAARC business. Sharing the update, Senthil said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Director – Sales at Nutanix! Responsible for leading and growing India Commercial Business & SAARC Business.”
With more than 22 years of experience in the information technology industry, Senthil brings extensive expertise in sales leadership, business management, and hybrid cloud solutions. Over the years, he has demonstrated a consistent track record of exceeding business goals and driving large-scale growth across diverse technology domains including data center modernization, virtualization, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud.
At Nutanix, Senthil has been part of the leadership team for over eight years, previously serving in key roles such as Country Sales Director – India Commercial Business & SAARC, Sales Head for Strategic Accounts & Territories (India & Sri Lanka), and Territory Account Manager for Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. In each role, he has contributed to expanding Nutanix’s footprint in the region, driving enterprise adoption of hybrid cloud and hyper-converged infrastructure solutions.
Before joining Nutanix, Senthil spent over a decade with Wipro Limited, where he held multiple leadership positions including Regional PreSales Head – South India, Regional Sales Head – Data Center Products & Services, and National Business Manager – Storage, India. His tenure at Wipro was marked by numerous achievements, including national awards for business excellence and team leadership. He began his career in sales and business development roles with Frontier Business Systems, Apara, and Dishnet DSL, gaining early exposure to enterprise storage and IT infrastructure technologies.
A seasoned technology sales leader, Senthil has built and led large teams across India, fostering strategic relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and business heads across industries. His leadership approach emphasizes technology-enabled transformation and building strong partnerships with OEMs, system integrators, and channel partners to drive sustained growth.
