Indigo has cancelled as many as 550 flights so far, and the move has impacted thousands of passengers across the country. While the actual reason for this issue is not known, Indigo is attributing it to operational reasons. “Hi, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. A few flights have been cancelled as part of a conscious step to stabilise our network safely and in an orderly manner. A full refund for your booking will be processed shortly. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period,” says Indigo to its customers. There is also ambiguity surrounding Indigo flight status as customers anxiously await details from authorities.

Indigo has also been apologising to customers. “The last two days have seen widespread disruption across IndiGo’s network and operations. We extend a heartfelt apology to all our customers and industry stakeholders who have been impacted by these events. IndiGo teams are working diligently and making all efforts with the support of MOCA, DGCA, BCAS, AAI and airport operators to reduce the cascading impact of these delays and restore normalcy. We continue to keep our customers apprised of any changes to their scheduled flights and advise them to check the latest Indigo flight status before heading to the airport. IndiGo deeply regrets the inconvenience caused and remains focussed on streamlining its operations at the earliest,” said the airline on X.
However, impacted travellers have been taking to social media platforms to express the inconvenience they have been facing. “Total mismanagement and high-handedness on your part. I am currently stranded at Chennai airport. I had a flight to Pune at 9:40 AM. The last notification I received from IndiGo at 3:30 AM today shamelessly said, “We welcome you….” There has been no notification of any delay after that,” said one such customer.
“Worst experience ever. Your delays made me miss my connection and waste my entire day. I spent eight hours in Hyderabad with no assistance, was then rerouted to Bengaluru with another five hours of waiting, and no food. This is totally unacceptable. I need immediate action,” adds another customer.
How to Check Indigo Flight Status Online?
Customers travelling on Indigo flights are advised to check the status online before leaving from their residences to avoid chaos at the airport. To check Indigo flight status, customers will have to do the following:
- Log on to the official website.
- Search for the Indigo flight with PNR.
- Enter the departure and arrival location.
- Enter the date.
