Induction stove, which was being looked at as an alternative by consumers to tackle the LPG shortage crisis, has gone out of stock on popular e-commerce sites such as Amazon as well as on quick commerce platforms such as Blinkit and Zepto. While a few models are available, their delivery has been dated to the upcoming week.

“This unbelievable guys… simply unbelievable… Amazon is completely sold off of every induction cooktop,” said a consumer. “All kinds of electric and induction stoves have sold out on amazon India. Incredible,” said another. “Induction stoves have vanished from dark stores. TTK Prestige Stove Craft other stocks have spiked. Power is not going to be easily available; commercial tariffs are quite high. Street vendors are doing a roaring business. They divert domestic LPG to fire their dishes,” adds another consumer.

Reports had also suggested that some of the induction stove cooktops were being sold at a price higher than earlier. “Induction cooktops are suddenly getting expensive. The same model that earlier sold for around Rs 1,350 is now priced at Rs 1,699. Looks like demand is heating up,” adds a consumer who was trying to purchase an induction stove online.
