PUBG Mobile has released a fresh round of updates and bug fixes, acting on community feedback shared across social platforms. One of the major changes includes an upgrade and extension to the ongoing Air Drop Carnival event. Originally scheduled for 25 to 27 July and 1 to 3 August, the event will now return for two additional rounds from 8 to 10 and 15 to 17 August (UTC +0). Drop frequency has also been increased across the map, including at high-activity zones like Neon Outpost and in airdrop crates, said the company through a post on X.
In addition to event adjustments, several gameplay issues have been addressed. On 1 August, the team resolved a bug where using a surprise air drop firearm occasionally failed to trigger a crate drop. A previous issue reported on 29 July, where team leaders and members received different counts of 2025 Air Drop Vouchers, has also been fixed, added the company in the post.

The Ranked Arena mode has seen a significant policy shift. To ensure fairness in competitive play, emulator users have been restricted from participating in this season’s Ranked Arena. The restriction does not apply to Unranked Arena. The development team of PUBG Mobile has also indicated that further improvements to the ranking system are in progress.

Other updates span across themed modes and custom gameplay features. In the Transformers-themed mode, bugs causing abnormal character poses and damage-related issues after dismounting from the Cosmic Hoverboard were fixed on 29 and 23 July. The World of Wonder (WOW) mode saw multiple fixes between 22 July 22 and 1 August, including corrections to matchmaking delays, air raid summoning limits, mission timers, and spectator audio glitches. Players can now also start matches as soon as the minimum player count is reached, bypassing unnecessary wait time.
