Philips has introduced its latest smart television range in India, available in 32-inch and 43-inch screen sizes, targeting viewers looking for advanced display features at mainstream price points. The new TVs feature 3DR Technology, designed to improve light energy efficiency within the panel while enhancing overall display performance. According to Philips, the technology aims to deliver a more immersive, theatre-like experience suitable for binge-watchers, movie enthusiasts, and gaming users.
The televisions also integrate Eye Care Technology, which includes a flicker-free display to help minimize eye strain during long viewing sessions. Additionally, Intelligent Brightness Adjustment (Night Mode) automatically adjusts screen brightness based on the surrounding light, providing a more comfortable viewing experience in dimly lit environments.
Running on the latest Google TV OS, the televisions provide a content-centric interface with smooth navigation and personalized recommendations. Users have access to major streaming platforms including YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, JioCinema, and Disney+ Hotstar. The models also feature built-in Google Assistant, allowing voice-enabled search, content control, and hands-free access to information.
In terms of hardware, the TV series comes with 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, and a 60Hz refresh rate, supporting dual-band Wi-Fi for faster and more stable streaming. A new Live TV Control feature enables viewers to pause, rewind, or fast-forward live programming.
Unpacking and Installation of Philips New TV Series
Unboxing and installation instructions provided by Philips are simple and straightforward, with the package including two batteries, a remote control, power cord, AV converting cable, user manual, warranty card, four screws, and two stand bases. Philips advises placing the TV screen-down on a cushioned surface during installation, aligning the marked stands with the correct slots, and securing them with the supplied screws. To unbox and setup the television set, users will have to:
- Open the package.
- Take out the TV.
- Install the TV stands.
- Connect the power cord.
Stand Installation Steps
- Users will have to take out the TV and carefully put it with the screen downwards on a stable and flat table with a soft cloth or cushion on it.
- Users will then have to check to make sure there is the same mark (A/B) on the TV back and the correct stand. This step is not available for the stands without any mark on it, or not available for the TV with one stand only.
- For stability, the stands will have to be fixed to the TV by using the matching screws provided in the box. The stands may vary depending on the region or model.
