Ingram Micro’s Sanjib Sahoo Unveils Bold Vision: Intelligence Is the New Operating System

At Ingram Micro ONE 2025, President of the Global Platform Group Sanjib Sahoo delivered one of the most forward-looking keynotes in recent channel history. His message was clear: the future of the technology industry, and the channel itself, will be built on intelligence, data, and ecosystems. “We’re not just talking about AI anymore,” Sahoo declared. “We’re building it, connecting every partner, every interaction, and every insight.”

Under dazzling lights and a vibrant magenta backdrop, Sahoo unveiled Ingram Micro’s next evolution of its flagship platform, Xvantage, powered by Google Gemini and Ingram’s own AI Factory, which integrates more than 400 AI models, 4 petabytes of data, and 32 million lines of code across 21 countries.

    From Automation to Intelligence

The keynote introduced Ingram Micro’s first enterprise-grade AI Agent, a Sales Briefing Agent that merges external intelligence from Gemini with Ingram’s vast internal data mesh to transform sales from transactional to strategic. “Intelligence that doesn’t just talk but it takes action,” Sahoo explained. “This is about helping our partners move faster, predict better, and build deeper customer relationships.” He emphasised that the journey goes beyond automation and emphasizes trusted assistants, AI that is smart, reliable, and fully partner-ready.

AI as the New Operating System

Sahoo then framed intelligence as the foundational layer for business growth: “In a world where data is the new relationship fabric, intelligence is the new operating system.” With that, he positioned Xvantage as the AI Operating System of the Channel, a unified intelligence layer enabling partners to make faster, more informed decisions and distribute outcomes instead of just products.

    Human-Centered Technology

Amid the technical depth, Sahoo kept the human message front and centre: “AI won’t replace people. Reimagination will create opportunities.” He added with a touch of levity: “Agents are like puppies, they need training, guidance, and eventually will be loyal, tireless assistants.”

Sahoo encouraged the audience to replace fear with imagination, urging them to “think big and act small” and re-imagine how their businesses create value. The keynote closed on a powerful note: “We can either read the story, or write it. At Ingram Micro, we choose to write it.”

    A Moment of Industry Leadership

With around $48 billion in annual revenue and a growing global AI footprint, Ingram Micro’s bet on intelligence positions it as a transformative force at the intersection of cloud, data, and ecosystems. Sahoo’s message was unmistakable, the channel’s next chapter has arrived.
