BOBCARD, formerly known as BOB Financial Solutions Limited, has appointed Arnab Biswas as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Biswas, an experienced information and cybersecurity leader, brings over 15 years of expertise across financial services, digital enterprises, and consulting, with a proven track record in building secure, compliant, and resilient technology environments.
Established in 1994, BOBCARD is a non-banking financial company wholly owned by Bank of Baroda, one of India’s top banks. The company focuses primarily on credit card issuance and merchant acquiring, making cybersecurity a critical pillar of its operations. Announcing his new role, Biswas shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Information Security Officer at BOBCARD.”
Before joining BOBCARD, Biswas served as CISO at Axis Securities Limited, where he led information and cyber security for the company. Prior to that, he was CISO at Tata Payments Limited, reporting directly to the board and overseeing security across regulated financial businesses. He also held the position of Enterprise Lead – Cloud Security at Tata Digital, where he managed the organization’s cloud risk posture across Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments. His responsibilities spanned cloud security posture management (CSPM), threat intelligence, data protection, compliance, and offensive security.
Earlier in his career, Biswas worked at ICICI Bank as Chief Manager – Information Security Risk, where he set up the bank’s Threat Hunting team, built a big-data-driven XDR platform, and contributed to the creation of its Security Data Lake. He has also been part of Protiviti as Senior Manager, working with large regulated US-based entities to mitigate technology risks, and started his career at Tata Consultancy Services as a System Engineer for enterprise risk management projects.
In addition to leadership roles, Biswas has hands-on expertise in red teaming, endpoint and network security, data lifecycle management, cloud governance, and SIEM platforms such as QRadar, ELK, Splunk, and DNIF. His professional toolkit also includes deep knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, insider risk analytics, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
With his comprehensive background across financial cybersecurity and cloud security, Biswas is expected to strengthen BOBCARD’s cyber resilience, protect customer data, and drive forward the company’s commitment to secure digital financial services.
