ServiceNow has appointed Tirthankar Dutta as Director & Head – Cybersecurity Engineering & AI Automation. In his new role, he will lead cybersecurity engineering and AI-driven automation initiatives aimed at securing and scaling the company’s global technology operations.

Dutta will oversee enterprise-wide programs covering application security, SOC automation, governance risk and compliance (GRC) modernization, and data privacy compliance. He will also spearhead AI-first strategies for resilience automation, privileged access management, and vulnerability reduction, working closely with global teams to deliver secure and scalable platforms.

Dutta brings over two decades of global experience in information security and digital transformation. Most recently, he served as CIO and CISO for Disney Star, Disney India, and ESPN India, where he led enterprise-wide security strategy across APAC and EMEA businesses, including Disney+ Hotstar, Disney Parks, and Disney Studios. His work included overseeing 24×7 SOC operations, third-party risk management, and regulatory compliance, while also integrating generative AI into security operations to reduce incident response times.
Prior to Disney, Dutta was Senior Vice President and Head of Information Security at InfoEdge, where he directed cybersecurity for platforms including Naukri, 99acres, Shiksha, and Jeevansathi. Earlier, he headed the Security Operations Center at Expedia Group in India, leading incident response, vendor risk management, and disaster recovery efforts. Dutta began his career with roles at IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies, and Religare, building expertise in risk management, vulnerability assessment, compliance, and enterprise security frameworks.
His expertise spans risk management, cloud transformation, AI security, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX, and CCPA. Recognized as an award-winning technology leader, Dutta is also a patent holder and published author, with a focus on embedding security and innovation into business strategy.
