India’s regulatory landscape is evolving rapidly. Organisations are adapting to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), enhanced cybersecurity directives issued by CERT-In, and expanding governance and disclosure requirements from regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). In parallel, India is advancing national initiatives around artificial intelligence, including the IndiaAI Mission and proposed reforms under the Digital India Act, increasing the focus on responsible AI adoption, transparency and risk management.

As AI, cloud computing and data-driven business models gain traction across sectors, Indian organisations are under growing pressure to strengthen governance structures, ensure data protection, manage cybersecurity and third-party risks, and prepare for emerging AI governance expectations. Boards and executive leadership are increasingly prioritising integrated GRC approaches that provide enterprise-wide visibility, accountability and resilience.

With its Mumbai office, Swiss GRC strengthens its ability to support Indian organisations locally, combining deep market experience with globally proven GRC frameworks and technology. The office will serve as a regional hub for customer engagement, implementation and business development, enabling closer collaboration with clients and partners across India.

Besfort Kuqi, Founder and CEO of Swiss GRC, said: “India is a strategically important market for Swiss GRC. Our presence in Mumbai allows us to support organisations as they address evolving requirements around data protection, cybersecurity and responsible AI, while strengthening governance and risk management at scale.”

Rajeev Dutt, General Manager MEA & APAC at Swiss GRC, added: “Indian organisations are operating under increasing regulatory scrutiny while accelerating digital and AI initiatives. Our local presence enables us to deliver integrated GRC solutions that align with Indian regulatory frameworks and global best practices.”

The establishment of the Mumbai office reflects Swiss GRC’s broader strategy of combining global reach with strong local presence, helping organisations build trust, resilience and sustainable growth through integrated governance, risk and compliance.
