Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab Active5 in India, targeting professionals who need a durable device for demanding work environments. Priced at Rs 49,999, the new tablet brings upgraded performance, 5G connectivity, and ruggedized features designed for field use.

The Galaxy Tab Active5 features an 8-inch WUXGA TFT display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and enhanced touch sensitivity for use with thin gloves or in wet conditions. It runs on Android 15 and is powered by a 5nm octa-core processor, available in 6GB RAM with 128GB storage or 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD.
The device is equipped with a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a 5,050mAh user-replaceable battery that supports POGO pin charging. Connectivity options include 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and dual-SIM support.
Built to withstand tough conditions, the Tab Active5 carries IP68 water- and dust-resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification for durability, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also supports Samsung Knox security with Knox Vault, biometric authentication, and a programmable Active Key for customizable shortcuts.

The tablet ships with an IP68-rated S Pen in the box and supports Dolby Atmos audio. Samsung is positioning the device for industries such as logistics, manufacturing, and field services, where reliable performance in harsh environments is critical. The Enterprise Edition also features a 36-month warranty, 12 months for the battery, and ships with Android 15, with guaranteed OS upgrades for seven years for up to version 21.
