METZ, German brand supported by global TV giant Skyworth, unveiled its latest premium segment of QLED+ TVs in the Indian market. Following the successful launches of a new line in 2022, METZ introduces its advanced QLED+ technology, promising an enhanced viewing experience for Indian consumers.
Pradeep Khanna, marketing manager at Skyworth India Electronics Private Limited, expressed his enthusiasm about the new launch. “The response to our previous models was overwhelmingly positive. The coverage and feedback we received were excellent. This year, with the launch of our QLED+ technology, we aim to set new standards in the market,” he said.
Khanna highlighted the innovative features of the new QLED+ TVs, which include a matte screen with a narrow bezel, HDR10+ display, and the Chameleon 3.0 power engine. “The design is premium, and the technology has been significantly upgraded. We have also incorporated Dolby Vision for superior visual quality and Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience,” Khanna added.
METZ’s strategy focuses on offline distribution through key partners rather than large-format retail (LFR) stores. “We are prioritizing our offline distribution network with 9 to 12 key distributors across India to ensure a wide reach,” said Khanna.
The new QLED+ models, starting from 43 inches, are designed to be pocket-friendly without compromising on quality. “We offer competitive pricing with zero percent EMI schemes and cashback options. Our goal is to make premium QLED technology accessible to all customers,” Khanna emphasized.
Khanna also mentioned the comprehensive after-sales support provided by METZ, including 24-hour installation services and prompt issue resolution. “We are committed to offering excellent service to our customers, ensuring a hassle-free experience.”
Looking ahead, METZ plans to integrate AI features into their future offerings. “AI is the future, and we are working on bringing AI-driven innovations to our products. We believe this will enhance the user experience even further,” Khanna said. The price of the newly introduced line ranges from Rs 23,000 to Rs 96,000 for the Q66G version, which is the most high-end out of the lot.
Special Features of METZ’ New Range that Prioitize Eye Health
METZ has introduced a new display technology called “QLED Plus” that promises to deliver exceptional visual experiences. The QLED Plus lineup includes 65-inch, 55-inch, and 43-inch models, building on the existing QLED technology in the market.
The key innovation in QLED Plus is the simplified 3-layer structure compared to the previous 4-layer design. By merging the diffuser and quantum dot plate, METZ has achieved higher brightness levels and a wider color gamut, resulting in vivid, lifelike images. The use of a WCG (Wide Color Gamut) white backlight further enhances color accuracy and vibrancy .
In addition to the display advancements, METZ has also focused on eye care features with its IK 3.0 technology. This includes Ambilight, low blue light, and flicker-free capabilities, which are certified by the renowned TÜV Rheinland institute . These features are designed to protect users, especially children under 16, from the potential harmful effects of prolonged TV viewing.
To complement the stunning visuals, METZ TVs are equipped with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies, delivering premium HDR and immersive 3D sound experiences . The company has also incorporated convenient features like a remote control finder and hands-free voice control, catering to the needs of both senior citizens and young children .
Lastly, METZ has paid attention to the design, with a frameless look and a metal back cover that acts as a heat sink and provides added durability for wall-mounted installations. Beyond the QLED Plus lineup, METZ is also introducing a range of 4K Google TV models in 65-inch, 55-inch, 50-inch, and 43-inch sizes, as well as more affordable 2K Google TV options in 43-inch and 32-inch variants . The company’s own Coolita operating system is also available for those seeking a more budget-friendly smart TV experience.
