Pradeep P to Lead Accenture India Business from September 1

Accenture has appointed Pradeep P as the new head of its India business, with his appointment set to take effect from 1 September 2026. Pradeep joins Accenture after nearly a decade at McKinsey & Company, where he most recently served as Partner and India Sector Leader for Consumer & Retail Industries. During his tenure, he also led McKinsey’s Asia Agriculture and Social Sector practices and was part of the firm’s India Industrials leadership team.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Pradeep said the decision was driven by the growing demand among enterprises to translate artificial intelligence investments into measurable business outcomes. “Starting September 1, I’m joining Accenture to lead the Accenture India business,” he wrote. Reflecting on the industry landscape, he added, “Most companies are done experimenting with AI and now want to see real, lasting value. Doing that takes a mix of deep strategic insight and serious technology execution, and Accenture is built to do exactly that at scale.” Pradeep also highlighted Accenture’s culture, saying its emphasis on people, continuous learning and inclusion was an important factor in his decision to join the company.

He noted that the timing of his appointment coincides with a period of rapid growth for Indian enterprises and the country’s expanding Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem. “It’s an exciting time to step into this role, especially as Indian businesses scale up and GCCs across the country continue to grow into true engines for global innovation,” he said.

Pradeep thanked Arundhati Chakraborty and the Accenture leadership team for the welcome, while acknowledging the mentors, colleagues and friends who supported him throughout his career. Before joining McKinsey in 2017, Pradeep held senior leadership positions at Monitor Deloitte, where he was elected Partner in 2016, and at Monitor Group. He began his career at Unilever India, managing key national customer relationships and commercial strategy across multiple markets. With over two decades of experience in strategy, business transformation and sector leadership across India, Asia and the United States, Pradeep is expected to lead Accenture India’s next phase of growth as enterprises accelerate AI adoption, digital transformation and technology-led innovation.
