IIT Madras, through its centre Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (RBCDSAI), is currently inviting applications from exceptional students for an internship in artificial intelligence and data science. Candidates with a remarkable academic record, and with a graduation or post-graduation can apply for the two-year internship. While initially a stipend of Rs 40,000 will be paid, the amount may be increased based on the performance and qualifications of the candidate.
RBCDSAI was established in 2017 due to the collaborative efforts of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Data Science (ILDS), supported by funding from IIT Madras aimed at fostering cross-disciplinary exploration. Its inception aimed at promoting the integration of AI into engineering contexts and capitalizing on the diverse knowledge base pertaining to network systems modeling present across different departments within the institution.

Interested candidates need to have the following qualifications if they wish to be considered for the Post-baccalaureate internship in artificial intelligence:
- The candidate needs to have either a 4 year bachelors degree or a masters degree in the relevant stream.
- The candidate should be under 27 years of age as on 31 March 2024.
- The applicant is anticipated to promptly accept the offer and indicate a starting date within six weeks from the issuance of the offer letter.
