This vision was inspired by personal experiences, particularly during Deshmukh’s father’s illness in 2017, which highlighted the challenges of caregiving and the difficulty in finding skilled, reliable healthcare professionals for home care. In an interview with Tech Achieve Media, Amol R Deshmukh, CEO and Founder of MedRabbits Healthcare shared insights into what the company does, and their future plans.

    TAM: Can you share some insights into MedRabbits’ business performance over the last two years? What percentage increase have you seen in your customer base during this period?

    Amol R. Deshmukh: Over the last two years, MedRabbits Healthcare has seen significant business performance improvements. The company has achieved operational profitability, with revenue doubling annually. It facilitated more than 12,000 appointments and collaborated with over 200+ healthcare professionals. The customer base has expanded considerably, driven by its comprehensive service offerings and the introduction of innovative payment options like Care Now, Pay Later (CNPL). This growth is further supported by its strategic focus on medical tourism and expanding into new cities, ensuring continued upward momentum.

    We have seen an increase in appointments over 25%. 

    TAM: Can you provide more details on your medical tourism offering? How is MedRabbits addressing this growing need in the market?

    Amol R. Deshmukh: In June 2023, MedRabbits Healthcare introduced its newest service in the Medical Value Travel sector, aligned with the Government’s ‘Heal in India’ initiative. This new vertical is designed to cater to the growing global demand for advanced yet affordable healthcare solutions available in India. 

    Its medical tourism services offer a complete, end-to-end solution for patients seeking treatment in India. This includes everything from pre-op counseling and second opinions to post-surgery rehabilitation, specializing in oncology, cardiology, neurology, orthopedic procedures, IVF, dentistry treatments, and cosmetic surgeries. MedRabbits Healthcare opened a representative office in Bangladesh, a significant step given that over 56% of the country’s medical tourism patients come from there.

    Here’s how MedRabbits Healthcare addresses the needs in this expanding market:
