Notable cybersecurity expert Gautam Kapoor has been appointed as the Cyber Security Leader for the India Market Unit at Accenture India. Kapoor’s transition to Accenture marks a significant step in his career following his role as Partner – Cybersecurity at Deloitte India.

Kapoor brings over two decades of extensive experience in cybersecurity, having worked with leading organizations such as Barclays, GE Capital, and PwC. His expertise spans various domains, including cyber risk management, data protection, identity and access management (IAM), cloud security, and incident response. Kapoor has led innovative projects across sectors like finance, healthcare, energy, and technology, showcasing his ability to create resilient and adaptive cybersecurity strategies.
In addition to his leadership at Deloitte India, Gautam Kapoor also contributed to Deloitte Australia’s cybersecurity practice, where he specialized in engaging boards and senior executives to navigate cyber risks and opportunities effectively. His credentials include globally recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, and ISO 27001.
Kapoor holds a postgraduate degree in Systems and Operations from the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai (NITIE). His ability to bridge cybersecurity innovation with business growth has made him a respected figure in the industry. With his new role at Accenture, Kapoor aims to drive transformative changes in India’s cybersecurity landscape, leveraging the firm’s global influence and resources to empower Indian organizations.
