Siddharth Bhati has been appointed Head of Technology Transformation – India & Philippines at Wells Fargo, where he will lead large-scale technology transformation initiatives across the banking giant’s Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Technology functions. In his new role, Bhati will be responsible for advancing enterprise-wide transformation programmes focused on Generative AI, Agentic AI, software development lifecycle (SDLC) modernization, developer experience and engineering productivity. His appointment underscores the growing importance of AI-led innovation and engineering excellence within the global banking sector.

Announcing the development, Bhati said, “In this role, I will be leading enterprise-scale transformation across Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Technology, advancing GenAI and Agentic AI adoption, modernizing the SDLC, and elevating Developer Experience and Engineering Productivity.” He added that his career journey has been shaped by disciplined execution, continuous learning and the opportunity to work alongside exceptional leaders and teams. Reflecting on his most recent stint, Bhati expressed gratitude for his time at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), where he contributed to cloud, platform engineering, AI and developer productivity initiatives that helped shape his approach to modern engineering transformation.
Bhati joins Wells Fargo with more than 18 years of experience across global organizations including LSEG, Morgan Stanley, Accenture and Tata Consultancy Services. Throughout his career, he has led cloud modernization programmes, engineering transformation initiatives, platform-led innovation and AI-driven productivity projects at scale. Most recently, he served as Global Technology Director – Cloud, AI & Developer Productivity Products at LSEG, where he drove cloud adoption strategies, AI-powered engineering solutions and modernization programmes aimed at improving developer efficiency and operational agility.
Prior to that, he spent over seven years at Morgan Stanley, where he rose from Vice President to Executive Director, leading global engineering teams, technology strategy execution and large-scale software development initiatives. During this period, he played a critical role in implementing Agile and DevOps practices, driving engineering innovation and delivering enterprise-grade technology platforms.
At Wells Fargo, Bhati is expected to focus on scaling AI adoption across engineering functions, accelerating platform modernization and strengthening enterprise technology capabilities. His expertise lies at the intersection of AI, platforms, engineering productivity and large-scale enterprise transformation, areas that are becoming increasingly critical as financial institutions seek to modernize operations and enhance customer experiences through technology.
