    All You Need to Know About Yali Aerospace, Startup That Attracted Investment from Sridhar Vembu

    Sridhar Vembu, CEO, Zoho Corp has made an investment into startup Yali Aerospace. Yali Aerospace is a drone-based startup that makes drones in India. The startup aims at delivering easy to use technology for civil and military use purpose, and also further the company’s growth through its Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) experience.

    Vembu had visited the startup last year, and had also shared insights with the founders into the latest trends and innovations in drones. “A huge thank you to the honorable Sridhar Vembu sir for taking the time to visit us and encouraging us to continue our vision toward rural healthcare development with our Yali drone delivery network. It’s an honor to be recognized by a leader of his caliber; the fact that he spent an hour at our office is amazing and shows his support for startups and young entrepreneurs,” Yali Aerospace had said after his visit.

    About Yali Aerospace

    Yali Aerospace is a startup based in Tanjavur that was founded in 2022 by the husband and wife team Dinesh Baluraj and Anugraha. The couple left their jobs in The Netherlands to return to the country and found the company here. “They have built a fixed wing drone with vertical take off and landing, solving the problem of delivering medicines and organs to remote hospitals, up to a range of 150 km, with a payload of up to 7 kg, max speed of 155 km/hr,” said Vembu on social media platform X after announcing the intent to invest in the startup.

    The startup claims that its Yali Network Bridge can connect remote locations by air through its SkyBase, a drone station that acts as the drone delivery network, linking hospitals to transport crucial medical supplies, organs, and AEDs from one location to another. It also speeds up last-mile delivery operations and enables constant monitoring. Some unique features of the SkyBase are as follows:

    • Battery swap.
    • Take-off and landing platform.
    • Storage unit.
    • Smart MedBox swap.
    • Cloud video monitoring.
    • Cloud monitoring weather station.
    • Remote operations through SkyBase mobile application.

    In addition to this, the startup’s ground control station software (YMC) allows a single pilot in command to control and monitor multiple drones at the same time from a distant.

    How The Startup Can Help Through Its Network Bridge

    The company’s website mentions that the Yali Network Bridge can help deliver medical commodities to any destination in India in less than 20 minutes. The startup aims to serve the healthcare sector by implementing the Yali Network Bridge in government and private hospitals thus enabling seamless delivery of medical supplies by Yali drones, and thereby enhancing healthcare outcomes. The startup claims that on-time and smooth delivery to hard-to-reach areas by drones could be made possible through the Yali Network Bridge.

    In addition to this,  aerial sentinels can offer comprehensive real-time monitoring and data acquisition in the area of detection and prevention of fire, restricted areas, illegal activities, border securities, and port activities, says the startup on its website.
