Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has promoted Bhawna Agarwal from vice president to senior vice president and managing director. The announcement was recently made by the company, and acknowledged by Agarwal on LinkedIN. “Sometimes, life presents you with an opportunity to write a new chapter, and you realize it’s time to start a whole new book. Becoming the Managing Director of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) India is one of those transformative moments for me. She has succeeded Som Satsangi who is set to retire from HPE. “I am filled with excitement and optimism as I set bold goals and look forward to leading one of the most talented teams, I have had the privilege to work with. Bhawna Agarwal brings over 25 years of experience as a digital leader and entrepreneur. Recognized as one of Asia’s Greatest CEOs by AsiaOne Magazine in 2017, she has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead high-growth ventures and scale businesses. Agarwal’s internet journey began in 2000 when she joined Times Internet to develop India’s first online travel platform, Indiatimes Travel, a precursor to the country’s $5 billion digital travel industry. She later played a pivotal role in scaling Yatra.com from incubation to industry leadership, demonstrating a strong focus on profitability and operational excellence.
Her impressive career includes leadership roles at Seventymm, NDTV Gadgets, and HPE, where she has been instrumental in driving growth and transformation strategies. She is also a prominent figure in India’s startup ecosystem, mentoring digital ventures and serving on advisory boards to nurture entrepreneurship. “Since joining HPE in 2019, I have been fortunate to work with an incredibly talented team, driving high-impact initiatives and exploring strategic acquisitions to accelerate growth in India.
