Gnani AI Announces 100 Internships for Students, Stipend up to Rs 1 Lakh

Gnani AI has launched the Great Indian AI Internship Challenge, inviting students to develop practical applications using its AI models and APIs. The programme offers up to 100 paid internships, with individual stipends of up to Rs 1 lakh per month. Gnani AI, a frontier AI company building foundational models, enterprise agentic AI and sovereign AI infrastructure, has announced the Great Indian AI Internship Challenge to identify and nurture emerging AI talent in India. The challenge opens on 30 September 2026, and closes on 10 November 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews after the challenge concludes, with selected internships scheduled to begin on 1 January 2027.

Participants will use Gnani AI’s language and speech models and APIs to develop applications for enterprises, developers and creators. The initiative aims to encourage students to move beyond experimentation and build solutions addressing practical requirements, including multilingual information processing, developer tools and enterprise workflows.

The initiative connects India’s sovereign AI ambitions with the talent emerging from its campuses, providing students an opportunity to work with foundational technology developed in India. “Sovereign AI needs both foundational models and people who can turn them into useful applications. India’s campuses have students with the ideas and ambition to do that. Through this challenge, we want to identify promising builders at the grassroots and nurture their capabilities through opportunities to work alongside our teams. The ambition is to build on India’s own AI foundations and create technology that can serve users around the world,” said Ananth Nagaraj, Co-founder and CTO, Gnani AI.

Gnan AI Internship Benefits and Career Opportunities

Selected interns will gain hands-on experience in developing AI-powered applications and working alongside Gnani AI’s teams. High-performing candidates may also be considered for full-time opportunities, subject to further assessment, role availability and business requirements. The programme provides for up to 100 internships, with the final number dependent on selection outcomes. Individual monthly stipends will be determined based on candidates’ assessed skills, performance during the selection process and suitability for the role. The maximum potential stipend is Rs 1 lakh per month and is not a standard or guaranteed amount. The stipend, internship duration and applicable conditions will be specified in each selected candidate’s written offer.
