Google Cloud has announced that Jagdish Mahapatra will take over as the Managing Director for the company’s security business across Asia Pacific and Japan. The announcement comes just days after Sashikumar Sreedharan was named Managing Director of Google Cloud in India. In his new role, Mahapatra will lead Google Cloud Security’s sales, go-to-market strategy, and revenue growth across key APJ markets, driving the company’s vision of delivering secure cloud solutions in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Mahapatra brings over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise technology leadership. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at ColorTokens, a zero-trust cybersecurity firm, where he led global go-to-market strategies and drove business expansion across the United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Prior to that, Mahapatra was Vice President for Asia at CrowdStrike, where he led operations across Southeast Asia, North Asia, and South Asia. Under his leadership, the region became one of the company’s fastest-growing markets globally. He also championed employee engagement, with CrowdStrike Singapore and India receiving top honors from Great Place to Work in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
Earlier in his career, Mahapatra held senior roles at Cisco and McAfee. At McAfee India, he built a $250 million enterprise business and later managed strategic alliances for the APJ region. Recognized as one of Business World’s Top 40 Executives Under 40 in 2011, Mahapatra is a well-regarded thought leader in cybersecurity. He has delivered a TED talk for Star TV on online child safety and spoke at TEDx events about the impact of digital footprints. His professional journey began at Larsen & Toubro, where he played a key role in developing India’s manufacturing offshoring model.
