In a significant career move, Mitul Shah has transitioned from Apple to Google, where he will serve as the Managing Director for Devices and Services Business in India. Shah will lead the sales and expansion efforts for Google’s Pixel devices, with a mission to bring AI-powered innovations to Indian consumers.
Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Shah expressed his excitement about joining a company at the forefront of technological innovation. “It’s an honor to be part of a company that’s at the forefront of innovation, and I’m particularly thrilled to be working on a product that has the potential to put the magic and power of AI in the pockets of millions of people across my beloved country,” he stated. Shah emphasized his commitment to leveraging technology to create a more inclusive and connected society, highlighting India’s dynamic and tech-savvy landscape as a critical market for Google’s AI-powered offerings.

Shah had recently announced his departure from Apple. Reflecting on his close to a decade of experience at Apple, Shah had shared heartfelt gratitude for the experiences and growth he achieved. “Apple has been my home, heart, and karm-bhoomi for all these years. I learned to keep the consumer at the heart of every decision and lead with unwavering values,” he wrote. He credited his time at Apple with teaching him invaluable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and the importance of people over metrics.
While the decision to leave Apple was difficult, Shah sees his move to Google not as a departure but as a continuation of his mission to deliver transformative technology to Indian consumers. “I couldn’t be more fortunate to have an opportunity to deliver the transformative power of AI with an immensely talented and committed team,” he noted.
