Reliance Jio has been facing an outage across India, with users complaining about not being able to access their sites and other platforms due to a poor network. The problem, which seems to have originated in the afternoon on 18 June 2024, still persists and services are yet to be restored, Users, who have taken to social media to complain about the issue, have stated that they were able to access some of the services while the rest were not working.
“Whats up with Jio Fiber right now? Some sites are working and some aren’t,” asks a user Aman on X. “What’s happening here? Neither Jio 5G nor Jio Fiber is working with most apps. Airtel Fiber is only working with Twitter and BGMI, but with high ping. On WhatsApp, only text messages are going through, and files aren’t uploading,” says another user Venkatesh.
Viewers have also been complaining about being unable to reach out customer care. “What a customer care service, I’ve been trying to call JioFiber customer care since this morning, but no one is picking up. If your customer base has increased, why don’t you guys also increase the service bandwidth? It’s been ringing all morning. Is anyone listening?,” asks a customer.
However, Customer Care executive has responded to a call placed saying that services could be restored within an hour. The services are currently down across Karnataka, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
