Talib Yousry Appointed Vice President of Channel Sales APJ at Saviynt

Saviynt has appointed Talib Yousry as Vice President of Channel Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), where he will be responsible for leading and expanding the company’s channel business across the region. Yousry brings more than 25 years of experience in channel sales, alliances and commercial leadership, having held senior leadership positions across Japan, Korea, China, Southeast Asia, India and Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

He joins Saviynt from Tenable, where he spent more than three years in channel leadership roles, most recently as Senior Director of Channel Sales for APJ. During his tenure, he led regional channel operations, managed profit and loss responsibilities, and worked with distributors, global systems integrators (GSIs), managed security service providers (MSSPs) and strategic partners. At Tenable, Yousry led a 12-member regional team and managed relationships with 30 focus partners and 23 distributors. His responsibilities included developing partner-led go-to-market strategies, strengthening enterprise sales engagement and expanding routes to market through GSI and hyperscaler partnerships.

Before joining Tenable, Yousry was Senior Director of APJ Channels and Alliances at Forcepoint, where he held full responsibility for the company’s indirect go-to-market operations across the region. He delivered 20% growth in channel-sourced revenue through partner segmentation, joint business planning and closer alignment between direct and indirect sales teams. At Forcepoint, he also worked on stabilising the company’s Japan business and transitioning its Korea and China operations towards channel-led models.

Earlier, at Telstra, Yousry served as Global Head of Channels and Alliances, with a mandate to establish the company’s first global indirect go-to-market function. During this period, the partner network expanded to 130 partners, generated $20 million in GSI-driven sales and recorded annual growth of 30%. At BT, he held the position of Head of Business Development for APAC, supporting a $100 million enterprise sales programme and leading the commercial structuring of a major network outsourcing deal in the region.

Yousry also brings experience as chief operating officer of an early-stage technology startup. He has been involved as an investor and adviser in the technology and climate sectors through organisations including Cocoon Capital, Wavemaker Impact and AgFunder. In a recent LinkedIn post announcing his departure from Tenable, Yousry reflected on the development of its APJ channel team during his tenure. He said the team had evolved from a small group supporting vulnerability management engagements through the channel into a cohesive unit helping partners develop Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) practices. At Saviynt, Yousry will take charge of growing the company’s channel ecosystem across the region, drawing on his experience in partner-led sales, alliance development and regional business expansion.
