Enterprise AI platform company Glean has appointed seasoned technology executive Amar Maletira as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking a significant leadership addition as the company accelerates its growth in the rapidly evolving enterprise AI space. Maletira announced his new role, expressing enthusiasm about joining the company at a pivotal moment for the industry. “I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Glean as Chief Operating Officer. Glean is at the center of one of the most important shifts in technology: bringing AI, knowledge, and context together to transform how enterprises work. The opportunity ahead is enormous, and the team is exceptional,” he said.
He further credited the company’s leadership, including founder and CEO Arvind Jain, along with Tony Gentilcore and TR Vishwanath, for building what he described as a “category-defining AI product and platform,” backed by a deeply customer-centric culture. “As Glean enters its next chapter of growth, I’m excited to help scale the company with focus, operational rigor, and durable execution, while amplifying what already makes Glean so special,” Maletira added.

Maletira’s appointment comes at a time when enterprises globally are rethinking how artificial intelligence can unlock productivity, streamline workflows, and harness organizational knowledge. Glean, known for integrating enterprise search with AI-driven insights, is positioning itself to be in the race for this transformation. In his new role, Maletira will be responsible for driving operational excellence, scaling global teams, and strengthening execution as the company expands its footprint across markets.
Maletira brings over three decades of global leadership experience across enterprise technology, cloud services, and financial management. Prior to joining Glean, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Rackspace Technology from October 2022 to October 2025, where he led the company through a period of strategic transformation. Before that, he held the role of President at Rackspace.
He currently also serves on the Board of Directors at Celestica. Earlier in his career, Maletira was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at VIAVI Solutions, and spent nearly 14 years at Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he held multiple leadership roles including Vice President and CFO for its $20 billion Enterprise Services and Application Services business. His experience also spans advisory roles, including with Saankhya Labs, which was later acquired by Tejas Networks in 2022. Maletira began his career in India, holding sales leadership roles at Siemens in Bengaluru and HCL Picker in Mumbai, before moving into global leadership positions.
