In a significant leadership move in India’s life insurance sector, Anita Peshkar has been promoted to Group Head – Strategic & Key Alliances at HDFC Life, strengthening the insurer’s leadership bench as it sharpens focus on partnerships-led growth. Peshkar shared the development on LinkedIn, announcing her elevation to the new role after serving in key leadership positions within the organisation, most recently as EVP & Head of Strategic Alliance.
She has been with HDFC Life for nearly four years and has played an important role in driving the company’s strategic alliance and partnership agenda. A seasoned insurance leader with over two decades of experience, Peshkar brings deep expertise across strategic partnerships, institutional alliances, business development, bancassurance, and customer relationship management.
Before joining HDFC Life, she spent more than eight years at SBI Life Insurance, where she held multiple senior leadership roles including Regional Director – Mumbai Metro Region, SVP & Chief of Institutional Alliance Relationship, and SVP & Chief of Institutional Alliance Acquisition. Her earlier stints include leadership roles at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Tata AIA Life Insurance, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the life insurance ecosystem. Known for her strong background in risk management, alliance building, and sales strategy, Peshkar has built a reputation as a growth-focused leader with deep domain expertise in the insurance industry.
