Kiran Cherukuri has taken on the role of Executive Vice President and Global GCC Leader at HCLTech, as announced in a LinkedIn post. Cherukuri, previously the Managing Director, President, and CEO at TechEra IT Consulting, will return to HCLTech after a decade-long entrepreneurial journey.
In his LinkedIn post, Kiran Cherukuri reflected on his transition from entrepreneurship to a corporate leadership role: “As I transition from entrepreneurship back to a corporate role, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the amazing ecosystem that has supported me throughout my entrepreneurial journey over the last ten years. To my clients, partners, and colleagues, your trust, collaboration, and encouragement have meant the world to me. As I return to HCL Tech, I’m thrilled to reconnect with past colleagues, friends, and mentors and excited to take on this GCC Leadership role, leverage my experience, and drive growth. I also humbly request your continued partnership with the entities I’ve founded, and I’m confident they’ll continue to thrive under new leadership.”
With over three decades in the IT industry, Cherukuri brings extensive experience to his new role. He has held senior leadership positions, including Vice President of the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) and a member of the IT MSME Promotion Advisory Committee constituted by the Government of Telangana.
As the founder and CEO of TechEra, Cherukuri advised growth-stage companies on strategy, business growth, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. His professional expertise includes P&L management at SBU and global levels, IT services marketing, business development, and delivery leadership.
Cherukuri’s industry experience spans infrastructure and cloud services, engineering services, and various outsourcing business lines, working across sectors such as BFSI, manufacturing, telecom, and utilities. His specialized skills include sales, marketing, partnerships, delivery management, operations, and process improvements aligned with CMMI, ITIL, ISO, and Six Sigma standards
