GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has appointed Sanjay Kumar as its new chief operating officer. Kumar will oversee all airport operations, focusing on improving efficiency and operational effectiveness at one of South and Central India’s key aviation and logistics hubs.
Kumar brings over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, including his previous role as head and vice president of aerodrome standards, planning and capacity optimization at Delhi International Airport Ltd. He has also contributed significantly to aviation training through the GMR Aviation Academy, where he developed and delivered advanced training programs for airport operations personnel under the International Civil Aviation Organization’s TrainAir Plus initiative.
