The appointment comes at a time when hyperscalers are increasingly relying on systems integrators, managed service providers, and channel ecosystems to expand enterprise AI and cloud deployments in India. With businesses rapidly modernising infrastructure and adopting AI-driven workloads, partner ecosystems have become central to cloud growth strategies.
Chordia brings more than 26 years of experience in the technology industry, spanning cloud computing, enterprise sales, strategic alliances, and partner-led business transformation. Over the years, he has built a reputation for scaling high-performing teams and driving large ecosystem-led growth initiatives across global technology firms.
Before joining Google Cloud, he served as Managing Director – India at Couchbase, where he led the company’s India business operations and enterprise growth strategy. Prior to that, Chordia spent over 13 years across multiple leadership roles at Microsoft, including Director – Partnerships, Azure Business Lead (Country Leader), Director – Partner SI & Managed Partners, Director – Data Platform, and Director – Cloud Partners. In these roles, he worked extensively with strategic system integrators and enterprise customers to drive cloud transformation initiatives across India.
He also had a stint at Amazon Web Services as Country Head – Microsoft Business on AWS, where he focused on enabling Microsoft workloads within AWS environments. Earlier in his career, Chordia spent more than eight years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in various leadership positions spanning enterprise accounts, regional sales management, and business operations.
This appointment likely reflects Google Cloud’s continued investment in strengthening its partner-led enterprise strategy in India, especially as demand for AI, data, cybersecurity, and cloud modernisation accelerates across sectors. With deep experience across Microsoft, AWS, enterprise ecosystems, and cloud partnerships, Chordia is expected to play a key role in expanding Google Cloud India’s partner network and driving large-scale digital transformation engagements in the country.
