Tom Devasia Joins Datadog as Regional Director for Enterprise Business in South India and Sri Lanka

 In a significant leadership move in the enterprise technology space, seasoned sales leader Tom Devasia has joined Datadog as Regional Director – Enterprise, where he will lead the company’s business across South India and Sri Lanka. Announcing his new role, Devasia said he is “thrilled” to take on the mandate at a time when enterprises are rapidly accelerating their digital transformation journeys. He expressed gratitude to Datadog’s leadership for their trust, adding that he steps into the role as a committed partner to customers, the ecosystem, and internal teams.

“India’s enterprise landscape is at a defining crossroads. As organisations accelerate cloud adoption, shift to micro-services, and move AI use cases from pilot to production, the ability to see everything, secure everything, and act in real time has become a competitive necessity. This is precisely where Datadog changes the game,” he noted.

Devasia brings over 17 years of experience across enterprise sales, go-to-market strategy, and business expansion. Most recently, he was associated with Firebolt, where he led the company’s India market entry as its first go-to-market hire, building its commercial presence and partner ecosystem from the ground up.

Prior to that, he spent over four years at Snowflake, where he served as Regional Sales Head for Enterprise Business in South India and Sri Lanka. In this role, he drove revenue growth and strengthened strategic partnerships, leveraging the Snowflake Data Cloud to expand enterprise adoption. His earlier stints include leadership roles at Talend, Informatica, SAP, and Oracle, where he built deep expertise in data management, consulting services, and enterprise solution sales across India and international markets.

Known for his people-first leadership style, Devasia emphasises coaching, trust-based partnerships, and consultative selling. “As a sales leader, my vision is to align deeply with customers’ aspirations, bringing together cutting-edge technology and talent to enable the art of the possible,” he said, highlighting his focus on sustainable growth and team development.
