Salesforce and the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, announced a collaboration to expand access to digital skills and strengthen workforce readiness across the state. Announced at the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 in Agartala, the initiative supports Tripura’s broader digital transformation agenda by helping prepare students, youth, government employees and entrepreneurs for an AI-driven economy through Trailhead, Salesforce’s online learning platform. The initiative aims to reach more than 10,000 learners by 2027.

With strong policy foundations already in place, this collaboration will equip our students, government workforce, and entrepreneurs with future-ready digital skills, driving innovation and inclusive growth. We look forward to working with a global technology leader to build a self-sustaining IT ecosystem and empower Tripura’s workforce to realise its full potential.”
As AI reshapes public services, workplaces and businesses, the collaboration aims to equip learners with practical digital and technology skills that are increasingly essential for the future of work. Through curated, self-paced learning designed for beginner and intermediate learners, participants will have access to guided learning paths across CRM, business analysis, technology fundamentals and more. Salesforce will also provide online orientation resources to help learners navigate the platform and support them throughout their learning journey. The Directorate of Information Technology will identify and position participants through government departments, educational institutions and skill development agencies, while driving awareness and expanding access to the programme across the state.

The collaboration builds on Tripura’s continued investments in digital governance, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The state is developing a dedicated Tripura IT and Data Ecosystem Zone (TIDEZ) in Agartala, alongside a planned IT Park and AI Centre of Excellence, while expanding the use of technology across public administration. The state has also scaled its e-Office initiative from the State Secretariat to all three tiers of the Panchayati Raj system in just over a year – one of the fastest rollouts of its kind in India. By complementing this digital foundation with accessible, industry-relevant learning, Salesforce and the Government of Tripura aim to help more people build the skills and confidence to participate in the state’s growing digital economy.
