India’s Tech Leaders Reflect on Innovation, Resilience, and Ethical Progress Ahead of National Technology Day

On this National Technology Day, a momentous occasion coinciding with the UN’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, India stands at the forefront of global innovation. Leaders from diverse technological domains shared their insights, emphasizing the nation’s transformative achievements and future potential.

Mohan Ramaswamy, Co-founder and CEO of Rubix Data Sciences

Highlighting India’s strides across various sectors, Mohan Ramaswamy remarked, “On this National Technology Day, which also marks the UN’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, India stands at the cusp of transformative change. Our country is making bold strides across sectors, right from pioneering AI in healthcare and education to achieving space docking missions and manufacturing our first semiconductor chips. Innovations in fintech are making financial services more inclusive, with voice-enabled UPI, AI-powered credit analytics, and multilingual digital assistants becoming part of everyday life. Just as significantly, India’s world-class Digital Public Infrastructure, Aadhaar, UPI, DigiLocker, and now voice-based platforms, is proving how scalable, inclusive tech can empower a billion-plus citizens. At Rubix Data Sciences, we are excited by how these advances are helping businesses make smarter, more resilient decisions. As we look ahead to breakthroughs in quantum technologies and deeper AI integration, the opportunity and responsibility before us is to harness these tools to build a future that is secure, inclusive, and driven by trust.”

Reflecting on purposeful innovation, Suyash Singh stated, “Innovation holds value when it serves the country’s real priorities, from securing food systems to strengthening climate resilience and national readiness. It must translate into tangible outcomes, guided by foresight and built for impact. On this National Technology Day, we reflect on the role of purposeful innovation in enhancing how we cultivate land, respond swiftly in critical moments, and plan with intent for the future. At GalaxEye, we are committed to this national vision. Anjali Amar, Vice President & Country Head, India and SAARC, Cloudflare

Emphasizing the importance of security in innovation, Anjali Amar noted, “On National Technology Day, we celebrate innovations that don’t just drive progress—but also safeguard it. As India adopts AI, cloud, and digital transformation at scale, our collective focus must shift from reactive security to proactive cyber resilience. At Cloudflare, we believe true innovation must be secure, sustainable, and inclusive. That means embedding security into every layer of technology, reducing environmental impact, and building awareness across industries. Together, we can shape a future where technology empowers, protects, and uplifts society as a whole.”

Sreekumar Pillai, CTO and Co-founder of Experion Technologies

Discussing India’s journey toward becoming an AI-native economy, Sreekumar Pillai said, “As India advances toward becoming an AI-native economy by 2035, with half the workforce AI-fluent and women’s participation projected to reach 47%, we are on the brink of a massive transformation. The Great Unlock report highlights how AI and Digital Public Infrastructure will empower the next billion Indians, improving productivity and market access for farmers, MSMEs, and students. But as we embrace this potential, ethical AI must be a national imperative. Without this, we risk amplifying bias, widening inequality, and undermining public trust. While India’s digital revolution reshapes our economy and society, as technology leaders, we must ensure that technological advancement and ethical responsibility always go hand in hand.”

Vineet Dhawan, CEO of DCT Inc. & dcafé digital Inc.

On sustainable innovation, Vineet Dhawan emphasized, “Innovation today must deliver more than just driving progress. As digital transformation reshapes the rules for how industries operate, incorporating sustainable practices into our technology system is no longer optional. AI-led automation and scalable digital solutions are enabling companies to shift towards eco-conscious growth and long-term impact.

“While we have managed to improve cloud optimization or develop next-gen video technologies, innovation must now deliver beyond performance and address both environmental and societal value.

“We believe that enabling policy frameworks, R&D incentives for businesses, and a renewed focus on skilling for future jobs are critical. As digital infrastructure becomes a core part of economic and social growth, we must build systems responsibly, scale them wisely, and innovate thoughtfully.

“With effective collaborations between the public and private sectors, we can chart a roadmap for India to lead not just in technology but in creating a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable digital future. At DCT, our focus is on AI-led automation that offers smart, scalable, and sustainable solutions that help businesses grow with purpose and shape a better tomorrow.”
