Barco has appointed Amit Saxena as Vice President, Global Head of IT, Cybersecurity & AI Platforms and Technology Site GCC Head, as the company looks to strengthen its global technology, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence capabilities. Saxena brings more than 28 years of experience across global IT operations, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, digital and AI-led transformation, and global capability centre (GCC) development.
In his new role, Saxena will focus on strengthening Barco’s global digital foundations, advancing cybersecurity, scaling AI platforms and capabilities, and aligning technology initiatives with business priorities. “I am delighted to announce that I have joined Barco as Vice President, Global Head of IT, Cybersecurity & AI Platforms and Technology Site GCC Head,” Saxena said. He added that the new role will provide an opportunity to contribute to a company known for innovation and technology leadership, while working with teams across the globe.

At Barco, Saxena’s mandate spans enterprise technology platforms, global infrastructure, cybersecurity, service delivery, cloud operations, digital workplace and AI enablement. He will also lead the strategic growth of Barco’s Technology GCC, with a focus on building talent, engineering capabilities and digital innovation. As part of the SW.IT leadership structure, he will be responsible for global infrastructure, service delivery, corporate security and AI platforms. Before joining Barco, Saxena served as SVP and Chief Information Officer at IKS Health, where he led an AI-first IT strategy across US healthcare workflows and established a security-by-design architecture based on a Zero Trust framework. He also worked on IT cost optimisation through AIOps and automation and built governance and integration frameworks to support M&A readiness.
Prior to IKS Health, Saxena was Chief Delivery Officer at CMS IT Services, where he held P&L responsibility for managed IT delivery to more than 150 enterprise customers and led a workforce of over 5,000 associates. His responsibilities included cloud, cybersecurity, AIOps and automation capabilities. Saxena has also held senior leadership roles at Motherson Technology Services and Navisite, apart from a stint at Wipro, where he led cloud transformation projects across private, public and hybrid cloud environments.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than 17 years with STMicroelectronics, holding roles across infrastructure programmes, IT transformation, data centre operations and enterprise service management. At Barco, Saxena is expected to bring together technology modernisation, cybersecurity, AI adoption and GCC development as the company continues to build its global technology capabilities.
