iQOO’s next flagship smartphone, iQOO 16, will feature Qualcomm’s 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and a dedicated Q4 gaming chip, with an India launch expected in late 2026. iQOO has confirmed the India launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, which is expected to arrive in the country, most likely, in November or December 2026. The company unveiled the first look of the smartphone at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 during Snapdragon Day, offering an early glimpse of its next-generation flagship.
The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, built on a 2nm process and featuring an octa-core CPU with clock speeds of up to 5.01 GHz. The processor will be paired with iQOO’s dedicated Q4 gaming chip, indicating a continued focus on high-performance computing and mobile gaming. The iQOO 16 was launched in China on September 29, 2026, ahead of its planned India debut.
iQOO 16 is the most advanced flagship yet

Announcing the India launch at Snapdragon Day, Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, said the iQOO 16 represents a significant step forward in the company’s flagship smartphone strategy. “Every year, year on year, we have made progress. Every flagship has pushed us to go further. And today, we are ready to take our biggest leap yet,” Marya said. He described the iQOO 16 as the company’s most advanced flagship smartphone to date, adding that the device is being positioned as a complete package rather than a phone focused solely on performance. “It will also be the most balanced, the most complete flagship you would have ever, ever seen from iQOO,” he said.

Marya said the company expects the smartphone to make a strong impact in the market, with a focus on meeting consumer expectations through technology and performance. “I think it’s very, very important about the power that Agentic AI brings to the device,” he said, highlighting the growing importance of on-device capabilities as the industry moves towards agentic AI experiences.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 to power performance
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 will be at the centre of the iQOO 16’s performance proposition. Built using a 2nm manufacturing process, the chipset is specified to deliver CPU clock speeds of up to 5.01 GHz across its octa-core configuration. The processor will work alongside iQOO’s Q4 gaming chip, which is expected to support the smartphone’s gaming-focused capabilities. The combination signals the company’s continued emphasis on processing performance and gaming as key differentiators in the premium smartphone segment.
The iQOO 16 will also enter the market at a time when smartphone manufacturers are increasingly looking to integrate AI capabilities into flagship devices. With agentic AI emerging as a focus area for the industry, the performance and processing capabilities of flagship hardware are expected to play an important role in supporting more advanced on-device experiences.
However, iQOO has yet to disclose the complete India-specific specifications, pricing and availability details of the smartphone.
iQOO 16 India launch expected in November–December 2026
Marya confirmed that the iQOO 16 will launch in India, although the company has not announced an exact launch date. The expected November–December 2026 window places the smartphone among the upcoming flagship launches to watch in the Indian market. The company is positioning the device as a major upgrade to its flagship portfolio, with the Snapdragon platform and dedicated gaming chip forming the core of its technology proposition. At IMC 2026, Marya also credited Qualcomm’s partnership and iQOO’s research and development efforts for the progress made in developing the new flagship. The India launch is expected to provide further clarity on the smartphone’s camera system, display, battery, charging technology, AI features and pricing. Until then, the iQOO 16’s confirmed Snapdragon platform and its early appearance at IMC 2026 remain the key highlights ahead of its market debut.
