The virtual spat between Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Ola and comedian Kunal Kamra seems to be far from over as the latter continues to fire a fresh salvo at Aggarwal. Recently, Kamra posted on X that he would be willing to take up the job offer at Ola, which Aggarwal had offered a month ago. “Since you care so much Kunal Kamra, come and help us out! I’ll even pay more than you earned for this paid tweet or from your failed comedy career. Or else sit quiet and let us focus on fixing the issues for the real customers. We’re expanding service network fast and backlogs will be cleared soon,” Aggarwal had said when Kamra questioned the company about its poor customer service.
“I have no choice but to accept Bhavish Aggarwal’s offer to work with OLA. After being tagged thousands of times I anyway feel like I am an OLA employee. OLA can seal this collaboration by committing to the below action points & looking forward to joining,” said Kunal Kamra. Some of the conditions he states are as follows:
- Ola Electric must remain committed to resolving their service crisis.
- Ola must ensure all scooter repairs are completed within 7 business days from the service request at authorized service centers.
- For repairs extending beyond this period:
- Customers will receive either a temporary replacement scooter or a daily conveyance reimbursement of Rs. 500 until the repair is complete.
- Additionally, customers will earn Rs. 500 per day of delay (up to a maximum of Rs. 50,000).
- Every new Ola Electric scooter should come with two types of insurance:
- One for the scooter.
- One for services (service insurance should be provided free of charge to the customer).
Bhavish Aggarwal, however, has not responded to Kamra’s constant jabs post the criticism he received over his counter posts to Kamra on X. He was labelled as “arrogant”, and Ola Electric share prices also dropped post the debacle. Recent reports suggest that Ola Electric share price fell 3 percent to hit a record low of Rs 75.20.
