Rejin Surendran Appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer at Britannia Industries

Britannia Industries has appointed Rejin Surendran as its new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO), as the company looks to further strengthen its digital and technology capabilities. Surendran announced the appointment, saying he would be working with the team to accelerate Britannia’s digital journey and support the next phase of growth for the company. He joins Britannia from Wipro Enterprises, where he served as Global CIO up to August 2026. In the role, Surendran was responsible for developing and executing a digital transformation roadmap across the group’s businesses and managed a global technology team of more than 150 people across 17 countries.

During his tenure at Wipro Enterprises, he also worked on the company’s S/4HANA migration strategy, data-driven analytics initiatives, cloud transformation and industrial IoT-led shop-floor efficiency programmes. His responsibilities included defining a cloud roadmap with Google Cloud as the primary hyperscaler and Microsoft Azure as the secondary platform. Prior to Wipro Enterprises, Surendran spent more than two years with The Coca-Cola Company as Head of Digital & ERP CoE for the Bottling Investments Group. He led the digitisation blueprint for the group, including initiatives around sales force automation, B2B commerce, data analytics, connected factories and ERP transformation. His experience also includes more than 13 years at Unilever, where he held several technology leadership positions across digital logistics, supply chain platforms, transportation management and digital factory transformation.

At Unilever, Surendran worked on technologies and platforms spanning robotic process automation, IoT, machine learning, SAP, Salesforce, JDA Warehouse Management and Oracle Transportation Management. He also led the company’s IoT Centre of Excellence and was involved in developing digital supply chain capabilities. Surendran began his career in technology consulting and enterprise IT, including a stint with GE Healthcare, where he worked on Oracle iProcurement rollouts across European markets.

With experience spanning FMCG, manufacturing, supply chain, cloud, ERP, analytics and industrial technology, Surendran brings a technology leadership background closely aligned with the digital and operational priorities of a large consumer business. His appointment comes as digital capabilities increasingly become integral to areas such as supply chain visibility, customer engagement, enterprise data and operational efficiency across the FMCG sector.
