Vikrant Sharma Joins Napino Auto & Electronics as Chief Business Officer and Group Chief Strategy Officer

Napino Auto & Electronics Ltd has appointed automotive industry veteran Vikrant Sharma as its Chief Business Officer and Group Chief Strategy Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company expands its footprint across the automotive electronics and mobility ecosystem. Announcing his new role, Sharma said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Business Officer & Group Chief Strategy Officer at Napino Auto & Electronics Ltd.” Sharma brings more than two decades of experience in the automotive sector, having built a strong track record in business development, strategic planning, global account management and market expansion across multiple vehicle segments and technologies.

An Industrial Engineering professional with an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Apeejay School of Management, Sharma has worked across diverse domains including forging, sheet metal, sensors, automotive electronics, aluminium castings and wiring harnesses. Throughout his career, he has partnered with leading OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, tractors and electric vehicles, helping drive sustainable business growth and long-term customer relationships.

Before joining Napino, Sharma served as President – Global Business & Large Accounts at Eastman Auto & Power Ltd, where he led large account management and global business development initiatives. During his tenure, he played a key role in mergers and acquisitions, brand licensing, and market expansion strategies while supporting the company’s growth in the solar and energy solutions segment.

At Eastman, his focus extended to strengthening the company’s presence in both OEM and aftermarket businesses, accelerating research and development efforts, promoting backward integration and building future-ready clean energy ecosystems. He also worked on expanding Eastman’s global reach through technology partnerships and customer-centric innovation.

Prior to Eastman, Sharma spent nearly 11 years with Spark Minda, where he held several senior leadership positions, culminating in his role as Vice President – Global Business. In this capacity, he spearheaded export growth strategies, established international offices in Europe and the United States, and led product strategy, pricing, negotiations and market expansion initiatives.

His tenure at Spark Minda also included assignments as Associate Vice President (Global Accounts), General Manager – Corporate Marketing and Head of Marketing & Business Development for the sensors business. During these roles, he was instrumental in developing long-term growth plans, conducting market potential studies, acquiring new customers and strengthening relationships with global automotive manufacturers and suppliers.

Earlier in his career, Sharma spent over six years at Steel Strips Wheels Ltd, where he led OEM marketing and business development activities across multiple automotive segments, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, tractors and construction equipment. He managed key customer relationships with leading automotive manufacturers and played a significant role in expanding the company’s market presence across India.

He also served as Head of Marketing at SPM Auto Pvt Ltd, where he drove OEM approvals, product launches and international business development initiatives. His responsibilities included participation in global automotive exhibitions across India, Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand, the UAE and Germany, helping the company enhance its international visibility.
