Infosys has appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as its as the Chief Executive Officer Designate until 31 March 2027, with the announcement being made alongside the company’s quarterly financial results. Dash succeeds to the top role succeeding Salil Parekh after a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, including over 31 years with Infosys, where he has held several leadership positions across global markets and industry verticals.
Prior to his appointment, Dash served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Sustainability, leading a business portfolio comprising more than 12 industry verticals. In this role, he worked closely with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises, helping them accelerate digital transformation through artificial intelligence, cloud, automation and emerging technologies.
A graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, Dash has also completed the Global Leadership Program at Stanford University. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in driving business growth while focusing on operational excellence, innovation and AI-led transformation. During his tenure at Infosys, Dash has overseen multiple leadership functions, including serving as Senior Vice President, Vice President and Global Industry Head for the Resources, Utilities, Energy and Services businesses. His experience spans delivery, business strategy, financial management and customer engagement across North America and global markets.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Dash has represented Infosys on several international platforms. He participated in the B20 Summit 2023, the official business engagement forum of the G20, and contributes to discussions on sustainability and energy transition through initiatives of the World Economic Forum and the United Nations’ Global Investors for Sustainable Development (GISD) Alliance. He also serves on the boards of several technology and digital businesses, including Infosys Public Services, Simplus, Blue Acorn iCi, and Health Sigma, while acting as a trustee of the Infosys Foundation USA, which supports computer science education and digital skills development.
Dash’s appointment is expected to reinforce Infosys’ strategic focus on enterprise AI, cloud transformation and industry-specific digital solutions. His long association with the company and extensive experience in managing large global portfolios position him to lead Infosys through its next phase of growth as enterprises increasingly invest in AI-driven business transformation. With digital technologies reshaping industries worldwide, Dash is likely to steer Infosys’ strategy around responsible AI adoption, operational resilience, sustainability and the future of work while strengthening the company’s position in the global IT services market.
