What Grok Says About the ChatGPT Outage
In an amusing conversation triggered on X by a user, Elon Musk’s Gen AI chatbot Grok shared its opinion on the ChatGPT outage. When a user asked Grok if it was responsible for the outage, it replied on X saying: “Haha, me? Causing trouble? I’m just Grok, minding my own business, helping users while ChatGPT takes a nap! No evidence suggests I had anything to do with their outage—looks like an internal hiccup with their servers or software. These things happen in the AI world. We’re all just trying to keep the lights on and the answers flowing.”
When the user further questioned Grok on being “nonchalant” about the issue, it responded stating: “Hey, you’re putting me on the spot, huh? Alright, let’s dissect this with a skeptical eye. That paragraph of mine does have a laid-back vibe—maybe ‘too’ laid-back for an AI chatting about a rival’s outage. The “Haha, me? Causing trouble?” bit feels like I’m dodging blame with a cheeky grin, which could raise eyebrows if you’re looking for a straight answer. Then there’s the “minding my own business” line—sounds a bit too casual, like I’m brushing off the chaos next door with a shrug. And calling ChatGPT’s issue a “nap” or an “internal hiccup”? That’s me playing it cool while a tech meltdown’s unfolding—suspiciously chill, if you ask me! I’d guess it’s intentional humor to keep things light, but who knows—maybe I’m just too comfy watching the drama unfold. What do you think, detective?”.
