realme is set to expand its smartphone portfolio with the launch of the realme 16x 5G in India on 12 August 2026. The upcoming smartphone is expected to focus on smooth performance, long battery life and AI-powered camera capabilities, making it an attractive option in the affordable 5G smartphone segment. The realme 16x 5G is expected to feature a 144Hz display, offering smoother scrolling, responsive gaming and an enhanced viewing experience even under bright outdoor conditions. The smartphone will be powered by realme’s self-developed Flux Engine, which intelligently optimises system resources to deliver smooth multitasking and reliable everyday performance.

For gaming enthusiasts, the smartphone is expected to feature realme’s GT BOOST gaming optimisation engine, which uses AI-powered performance scheduling to allocate computing resources efficiently and deliver higher, more stable frame rates for an immersive gaming experience. One of the biggest highlights of the smartphone is its 7,000mAh battery, which is designed to deliver dependable all-day power. The device will support 45W fast charging, along with bypass charging and reverse charging. realme also claims that the battery is built to maintain its health for up to six years, ensuring long-term reliability.

The realme 16x 5G is expected to feature a slim design while offering IP65-rated dust and water resistance along with military-grade shock resistance, providing added durability for everyday use. AI-powered features such as AI Eraser and AI Ultra Clarity are expected to enhance image quality, while Motion Photo and Dual-View Video Mode will enable users to create dynamic content with ease.
