Anirban Mukherjee has been promoted to Group Manager – Information Technology at Manipal Hospitals. As the Chief Manager of IT at Manipal Health Enterprises, Anirban Mukherjee use to oversee the IT infrastructure for one of India’s leading healthcare providers, comprising 23 hospitals and multiple data centers. With a BSc in Science from Hooghly Mohsin College and certifications such as CNE, CNA, and CCNA, Mukherjee has established himself as a key figure in healthcare IT.
He was recognized with the Next100 CIO Award in 2019, highlighting his potential as a future leader in the IT sector. His expertise spans IT operations, strategy, integration, transformation, and service delivery. Mukherjee played a pivotal role in the IT integration of Manipal Hospitals and Columbia Hospitals, a merger that required navigating complex systems and processes. He has also spearheaded the modernization of legacy IT infrastructure, introducing advancements in networking, servers, storage, and virtualization.
Beyond technical execution, Mukherjee manages the IT budget, planning, and solution implementation across the organization. His experience includes vendor evaluation, selection, negotiation, and SLA management. He is dedicated to leveraging technology to deliver sustainable value, focusing on enterprise IT systems, disaster recovery, and service desk management in the dynamic healthcare IT landscape.
Prior to his role at Manipal Health, Mukherjee was associated with Fortis Healthcare, where he managed IT infrastructure for the Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) in Gurgaon, the flagship hospital of Fortis Healthcare Ltd. In this capacity, he oversaw a team of 17 engineers, ensuring the seamless operation of critical IT systems supporting healthcare delivery.
